Colocasia esculenta 'Black Magic'
Astonishing purple black leaves growing up to 2' long, if the summer weather permits.
This form was selected in California by Walter Pagels. It can grow up to 5 feet tall, but it needs a
lot of water and a fair amount of warmth to get there. Well worth keeping warm in the spring
to really get it going. It will then make great strides forward during the summer.

It has a reputation for rotting suddenly in its sleep, so I am quite pleased that it is larger this year than it was last.
